I am rereading the Harry Potter series. I have wanted to ever since I read the final book. I started around spring break and am a little ways into the fifth one so I am using class time to read because I have so little time at home. I love JK Rowlings books..all of them…and it is by far my favorite series of books!
I am reading The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks.
I chose that book because I read A Walk To Remember by Sparks and I liked it, a lot so I wanted to read another book by him.

I am reading Just Listen by Sarah Dessen. I am mostly reading it because it is her new book and I have read every book Sarah Dessen has written. She is an amazing author and has such a way with words. Her stories are amazing and really make the reader emotional and connected. This book completely relates to my life right now and its kind of helping me deal with things and getting people out of my life that don’t need to be in it. So although I’ve just started it, I have a feeling it is going to be a very good book. ![]()

I am reading “Gifted Hands”. This book is a true story written by and on a man named Ben Carson. In his childhood he lived in the ghetto of Detroit. His family had no money and his father left him when he was eight. Which means he lived with only his mother, and she dropped out of school in third grade. Ben Carson’s grades were always the worst in his whole grade. Around ten he realized he wanted to be a doctor, so he tried to pursue this goal. The years went on and soon his grades were the best in the whole school. Years later he got into Yale and went to medical school. Now he one of the best and most successful surgeons in the world. This Story is very inspiring and can definitely change the way people think. I think it’s just amazing that someone who started with nothing ended up being very successful. This story can really truly prove that if someone really wants to achieve anything tries, they can achieve it.

I am reading Book 1 of the Dive series- Imersion by Gordon Korman. I’m reading it because over Spring Break, my dad and I got scuba certified and this book is about kids my age on a diving expedition. I think it will be really cool to be able to relate to what they’re seeing and doing with all of their gear, and because it’s kind of suspenceful and crazy it will be a quick, fun read.

I am reading the 4th A-List book, Tall Cool One. It is one of those easy, fun, kind of dumb reads that get you really addicted. I am reading it because it has an easy story line that is fun and makes you want to read more. I love these kinds of books because i love it when i cant put it down.

I am reading New Moon, the second book in the Twilight series, written by Stephanie Meyer. I chose this book because I recently finished the first in the series and fell in love with it. It has everything one looks for in a good story, action, drama, romance, humor. I would recommend this series to anyone, but half the class has already read it or in the process of reading it ![]()

I’m Reading the Terminal Man by Micheal Crichton. It is a very interesting book about a man who has epilepsy that only affects his brain, causing him to act violently and not remember. He ends up being plugged into a machine that controls his brain and it all goes downhill from there. I chose this book beacause i have enjoyed reading many other Micheal Crichton books like Sphere and Prey. It is also a thriller but it has science to back up the facts so its pretty interesting.

I am reading “The Collected Jack London” it has thirty-six stories four complete novels and a Memoir. so it will definatly keep me busy. I picked this book because i dont really like to read full novels all the time. i like to have a bunch of small storys that are powerful and exciting. Also they are all unique, but all have that Jack London style. its a good read because i can finish one or two stories a class period.

I’m reading The A-List. My friends had told Me that those books were pretty good and ever since I started reading Them I can’t wait for the sequel of the previous to be published. I’ve read the series a few times but it doesn’t get old. It’s an ongoing story and once I start I can’t stop reading!

I am reading “This present darkness” by frank peretti. I chose this book because 1) it’s been sitting in my room waiting to be read for quite a while and 2) I have read other things by Peretti and thought them interesting and 3) my mom recomeneded it because it apparently is kinda intense and has a very interesting view on spiritual warfare and i thought that would be interesting to read. I also have heard that he had a very interesting childhood and upbringing and i thought it would be cool to research him and find out what he is all about.
I’m reading New Moon, which is the second book in the series Twilight by Stephanie Meyer, and I’m absolutely obsessed, and that’s not an exaggeration
My sister was reading Twilight at first and reccomended it to me and i finished it within three days, because it was that good. It’s full of both romance and adventure with a little bit of science-fiction which makes it hard to put down.

I am reading books by George Orwell… Im starting with Animal Farm, and then I plan on reading 1984 if I get the time.
Im reading George Orwell’s book Animal Farm first because it is my favorite book, and I really like Orwell’s style–> and then I am moving onto 1984 because that is another one of his classics that relates to the Animal farm because they are both kind of about communism (they are just little abstract about it in Animal Farm)– Anyway,Im reading the book because I liked it before, and I’ve read it like 5 times and it seems like every time something new pops up that I didn’t really recognize before
(I wanted to also read some other authors too if I get the time because authors like Seuss were kinda interesting cus they were wackos… but I chose Orwell anyway)

Well I am reading ” The Greatest, Muhamid Ali” ( I forgot how you spell his name). When I was looking at my family’s bookshelf where we have accumilated a couple of books over the years there were so many different genres. I intentionally found ” Farieghiet 451″ becuase I had favored Ray Bradbury for pretty much predicting the future in his book. Then next to that book was a book about Muhamid Ali. I knew who he was but then I read the summary on the back and became interested. It also takes places during Vietnam which what were studying in History class, so I though i could learn a little bit more about that time period.

i am reading “The Host” by Stephanie Meyer. i typically don’t read books that everyone else gets hooked on but one night i was sitting at home working on homework and i decided to read the school paper that had just come out that day. i read through it and came along an article about Stephanie Meyer’s book called “Twilight” and literally then my mom walked in the door with a pile of books in her had from barnes and Noble and told me she had pick out some books for me. i shifted through them and found Twilight and said to myself that that was a weird coincidence so i read it. it took me a day and a half! i couldn’t put it down i did no homework for those two days and pulled two all nighters. the next day i pleaded to my mother to go and buy the next two and five days later they were done and i decided to start on one of the other books my mom bought me and couldn’t because while i was reading the other book i kept thinking how bad it was compared to the twilight series. So once again when i heard she had another series going called “The Host” i had to read the first book, and so i am. i enjoy Stephanie Meyer’s literature because of how detailed she describes everything and how flowing that detail is. this subtle painting of scenes reminds me of shakespear’s writing in how they are more artists than writers. This type of vivid and utter perfection of description is definetely brought me to read “The Host”:-)
New Twilight book comes out on August 2nd and the movie is released in december of next year!!!!!

I am reading “Airframe” by Micheal Critan. (spelleing? books in my car) yeah i chose this book because he has written some great books. he is the author of “jurrasic park” “the Terminal” and was the creator for the show “ER”. all of these i have seen the movies of and watch the tv show. so i thought airframe would be another great action book that would be easier to read and be very exiting.
Well when you first told us about how we had to pic and author i thought i would just re read a book that i already have called my sisters keeper by jodi picoult, but when i relaized that we would have lots of time in class to actually just read i wanted to get somehting that i havnt read before so im trying something different and im reading gossip girls. and i know this sounds funnny but i like it cause i can relate along with many other girls and its something thats doesnt make you seem like youre forced to read it, its a fun read also.
I’m reading “In Cold Blood” by Truman Capote because I’m really into murder mysteries, especially ones that are real.

IN RESPONSE TO QUESTION
I am reading a book called “the Site” … it is not very well known, but it is VERY good. It is by my favorite author: David Clement-Davis … he has written only one other young adult book, which relates back to the Site (almost like a prequel) but one does not need to read on or the other for them both to make sense (although, his other book “Fire Bringer” did come out first) … despite writing amazing novels, David Clement-Davis has only written children’s books …
Why did I choose to read this book? because it combines the views of nature and man, and their relationship from an out side view (from the view of the wolf) … this book is written from the viewpoint of a wold pack that is undergoing a great change … and wolves are my favorite animal… but this book is also somewhat of a historical fiction, for it talks about Transilvainia’s history and the war that was going on between the Turks and such … it ties the “man’s war” into the whole plot … and the plot follows the wolves through their journey, which is basically the story of Jesus (I am not a Christian or a Catholic, and I love the message that this book send across : love is the key to life) … this book is filled with adventure and deep meaning that one must search for … and it makes one question just what is the meaning of life … the book is a puzzle for the mind to piece together …

I myself am reading “The 7 habits for highly effective teens”. Yeah i know it sounds cheesy, but i picked it up at a garage sale a few days back, and after reading the first few pages I could not put it down. its a great book full of life lessons, and tips on making your life better. I recommend it to everyone, because it is easy to read with comics and charts threw out.

I can log in again!
Okay, so I know it’s late but here’s my answer:
I am reading Stephenie Meyer’s ‘New Moon.’ I can’t put down any of her books, defenitly the ‘Twilight’ series. The book has everything I love to read, a love story, fantisy, adventure, risks, the whole package. I can’t say more other then I love her writing style, I literly can’t put down her books, and I always finish the series 2-3 days from the 1st book to the 3rd. They’re incredible. And that’s all there is to it.

I was reading “The Ultimate Gift” because my dad made me read it once already and i thought it was such a good book. This was the second time i read it and i still love it. It tells about lessons in life that you should learn as early as possible and some things in the book relate to me so that is why i read this book.
